Friday Feature Artist – George Ezra

This weeks FFA is a young man from Bristol, George Ezra. He has also been included in this year’s BBC Sound of 2014. His song ‘Budapest’ was the soundtrack to the BBC’s ‘new music’ campaign. A lovely voice, with smooth vibes and a nice rough tone, George has a sound that will fit nicely between Ben Howard and James Vincent Mcmorrow in your record collection.

‘While his music has been picked up by 6 Music and Radio 1, the 19-year-old has stayed true to his roots, playing three residencies in Bristol’s Gallimaufry club this year – in between support slots for Lianne La Havas and Tom Odell.’ Said the Sound of 2014 website. You need to catch this man whilst you can, as he is still playing tradesmen’s clubs and social clubs where his music will no doubt compliment to an amazing atmosphere. He is going on to big things this young lad from Bristol, so go and make the most of him in lovely, tiny, venues before he is playing cavernous corporate sponsored arenas! If you would like to carry him around with you in your pocket, then you can download 2 tracks for free here!
